Silt Curtain The Floating Silt Curtain is designed to contain silt runoff into steams by acting as a floating barrier. The Floating Silt Curtain is fabricated from a non woven geotextile which has a mean aperture of 120um. The floats are closed cell polyurethane and these are contained in a high visibility yellow material. The curtain is also equipped with a ballast pocket at the bottom. We use 8mm galvanised chain as the ballast for this installation. The Silt Curtain is supplied in 5m lengths for easy transport and storage. Standard depth of the curtain is 2 metres. This can be customised for particular applications at minimal cost.
